Plan B Entertainment and Searchlight Pictures will be adapting Davis’ memoir The World According to Fannie Davis for the big screen. The script is being written by Davis, with Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage working as a consultant on the project.
The Library of Michigan’s panel of 14 academics, librarians and writers from across the state selected TWATFD as one of the 20 books that made this year’s list.
